Nothing Is Impossible for God

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Luke 1:37 ESV

There are moments when those five words feel like a lifeline—and others when they feel like a massive stretch.

  • Maybe you’ve prayed for healing, but the diagnosis hasn’t changed.
  • Maybe you’ve begged for reconciliation, but the silence remains.
  • Maybe you’ve tried everything you know how to do and nothing seems to work.

When you’re standing in the middle of a situation that feels stuck, broken, or hopeless, this verse isn’t just a feel-good statement—it’s a bold declaration of who God is.

Luke 1:37 shows up in a story that felt impossible from the start. An angel tells Mary, a virgin teenager, that she’s going to give birth to the Savior of the world. Understandably, she’s confused. This doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t add up. But the angel responds with this truth: “Nothing will be impossible with God.”

In other words: God doesn’t need things to make sense to work miracles.

He’s not limited by biology, timelines, or odds. And He’s not waiting for a better version of you.

God steps into impossible situations and writes a different story.

That doesn’t always mean things will turn out the way we hoped. But it does mean we can trust that God is still working, still close, and still capable of more than we can imagine

Try This:

Take a moment to name the situation in your life that feels impossible right now.

Write it down. Pray about it. Then write next to it: Nothing is impossible for God.

You might not see how He’s working—but that doesn’t mean He isn’t.

Keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep showing up. Because with God, nothing is impossible.
